The short version
- Working feeds on Nov. 4, 2026 included CBC New Brunswick, Acadie Nouvelle, SaltWire, BetaKit's Atlantic Canada tag, Opportunities New Brunswick, ACOA, ResearchNB, Springboard Atlantic and CCNB.
- The University of New Brunswick, the Government of New Brunswick, NBIF, Venn Innovation and Planet Hatch published no working RSS feed when we checked.
- TechNB News fills those gaps with Google News search feeds, and credits every headline to its original publisher.
- The full list, with feed addresses, is on our sources page and is checked on every site build.
The wire on TechNB News is built from public RSS feeds. Before launch we checked about forty candidate feeds from New Brunswick newsrooms, agencies, universities and startup organisations. This is what we found on Nov. 4, 2026.
Feeds that work
Newsrooms. CBC New Brunswick, Acadie Nouvelle and SaltWire all publish working feeds. None is tech-specific, so the wire keeps only stories that match technology, startup and research terms.
Trade press. BetaKit, the Canadian startup publication, publishes a feed for its Atlantic Canada tag. The wire keeps the items that name a New Brunswick place or institution.
Government and agencies. Opportunities New Brunswick, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (through the Government of Canada news API) and ResearchNB all publish feeds. These are the most reliable early signals of funding and expansion announcements.
Research and education. Springboard Atlantic and CCNB both publish feeds.
Who publishes none
Several of the province’s most important tech institutions had no working feed when we checked: the University of New Brunswick, the Government of New Brunswick’s news releases, the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation, Venn Innovation and Planet Hatch.
For UNB and the provincial government, the wire uses Google News search feeds limited to their sites. For the rest, we follow their newsrooms by hand.
How we use them
Every headline on the wire links to the original publisher and carries its name. We show only the headline and, where the feed supplies one, a short summary. The full list of feeds, with addresses you can paste into your own reader, is on our sources page.
If you run a New Brunswick organisation and publish a feed we have missed, send it to info@technbnews.ca.
