About TechNB News
Independent reporting on New Brunswick tech companies, startups, research and digital policy, plus a live wire of tech headlines from across the province.
What we cover
Technology companies, startups, university research, data centres, cybersecurity, telecom and digital policy in New Brunswick, Canada, in English, with French-language sources on the wire.
How we report
- Every story lists the documents, releases and interviews it rests on, under Sources.
- We name who said what. Numbers that come from a company or a government are attributed to them.
- Press releases are a starting point, not a story. We publish them only after checking them.
- Sponsored content, if we ever run it, will be labelled as sponsored at the top of the page.
How we use AI
Many TechNB News stories are researched and written by AI from public sources: news releases, company, university and government pages, research papers, public social media posts and other publishers’ reporting. Every one lists the pages it relies on and what it took from each, and it cannot cite a page it did not open.
An editor decides which of these stories run and when. Stories involving allegations, legal or personal matters, or facts the AI could not confirm are never published without a person checking them. Every AI-written story says so at the end, including whether a person reviewed it. If you find a mistake, write to info@technbnews.ca; we correct errors with a dated note.
About the wire
The wire lists headlines from other publishers, collected from their public RSS feeds. We show the headline, the publisher's name and, where the feed provides one, a short summary, and every item links to the original. The full list is on the sources page.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and add a dated note to the bottom of the story saying what changed. Send corrections to info@technbnews.ca.
